Built in the classic Andalucian pueblo style, the luxurious Belgravia Club is a small exclusive development of large houses and apartments set in the grounds of a colonial style villa directly above Estepona Marina between Marbella and Gibraltar. Whilst a number of the properties are residential, others are owned by business people from many parts of Europe, and even in the busy mid-summer period, it is never crowded. The villa and grounds were previously the residence of the Ambassador to Morocco, and there are lovely gardens with a fine swimming pool for residents and guests. Belgravia Club overlooks the port entrance and the beach of the Playa de Cristo and has views to Gibraltar and Africa over the Mediterranean Sea. They are very stylish individual private apartments with a good pool and modern gym. The lovely gardens are full of palm trees and exotic plants no matter what time of year you arrive. The colours and aromas are quite delightful. You have good access to the Playa De Cristo beach which has won the Blue Ribbon for the past ten years. The swimming pool is cleaned and checked everyday (except Sunday) so is always in top condition. Rada beach is to the other side of the port and will take about 6 mins to walk there. Worth the effort even if just to get to the lovely beach bars that sit on the promenade. Our regular guests (“being in the know“) tend to book early for this one to avoid disappointment. The entrance gates are security protected for that extra privacy.
There is a beautiful sheltered bay in one direction, and
a long sandy beach and esplanade in the other, both only a few minutes walk. The
marina is less than five minutes walk and has numerous restaurants in which to
enjoy a meal. Two supermarkets and a bank are located a few minutes walk away
and the main town shops and market are less than fifteen minutes walk along the
promenade from the apartment. The development is on a good bus route, and low
cost reliable taxis operate in the immediate area. A guest telephone is located
in Belgravia and there are a fax and internet facilities at the marina. An
English doctor has a practice and daily surgery about one hundred metres from
the apartment.
Belgravia Club apartments were built approximately 10 years ago to a very high standard. We have only two apartments available. and one town house. They are beautifully furnished, nicely located and have a sea view from the terrace. It has a fully fitted modern kitchen with washing machine, cooker and fridge freezer. We have two bathrooms which have a bath/shower, toilet and washbasin and have of course a bidet (no lizards we hope). The two bedrooms are well appointed with fitted wardrobes. Our guests do still seem to prefer to bring their own linen, but sheets and quilts are in the apartments. Heating is throughout for those colder nights during the winter and cool air for the hotter nights.

The stunning white villages of Andalucia are within easy access, and some excellent day trips are available to the historic cities of Granada, Ronda, Seville, and Cadiz, or for something completely different, Tangier or Tetuan in Morocco. Puerto Banus, the renowned marina near Marbella, is fifteen minutes drive along the coast, and now boasts a department store, El Corte Ingles, Spain's equivalent to Harrods, and a multiplex cinema. By car both Malaga and Gibraltar airports are less than forty-five minutes away.
With Gibraltar and North Africa visible from the grounds, the area is an exciting one for those with natural history interests. The hills which shelter the coast are rich in plant and animal life, and the Straits of Gibraltar are one of the two main paths for the hundreds of thousands of birds that migrate between Africa and Europe.
We have local agents that look after the upkeep of the apartments. They are at hand to solve any utility problems that might suddenly arise, or lost keys! They also ensure that the apartment is clean before your holiday starts and after you leave they come and do the ‘final’ clearing up. The “communidad of properties” do have a number of rules that should be adhered to wherever possible, like towels over balconies (frowned upon), as this all helps to maintain the very high standard of the apartments
