Thanks to the agricultural and fishing activities that Estepona has developed throughout its history, you can today still find various traditional craft objects manufactured in Estepona and displayed in shops that form an important part of what the town can offer the tourist commercially. As well as being able to find numerous craft items, one encounters in Estepona many outlets offering the latest trends in diverse sectors.

Above all, in and around Calle Terazza are concentrated a large number of shops which, together with all the others in the town, make Estepona an ideal place in which to do your shopping. Also, at the entrance to Estepona in the Malaga to Cádiz direction we have a Carrefour, one of the largest hypermarkets on the Costa del Sol.

Markets
The markets in Estepona are not to be missed. The Wednesday market is held in the town where you will find an array of goods, from clothes and rugs to fresh fruit and vegetables. The Sunday market is held in the port where you can pickup Spanish souvenirs for friends and family, as well as clothes, rugs, and leather goods, which have found there way from Morocco at very keen prices

 

  • Most of the shops are situated in the town centre on Calle Real or Calle Terraza.
    There is a wide variety, including boutiques, souvenir shops, delicatessens, stationers and bakeries.

  • Tourist market (Sunday Morning) in the Marina - Gifts, leather work that have found there way from Morocco at very keen prices watches, costume jewellery, arts and crafts, presents, novelties, music CD's and tapes.

  • Town market (Wednesday Morning) 'El Rastro' held in the open ground on Avenida Juan Carlos. Good for fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes and house wares.

  • Covered market (Mercado de Abastos). Daily am only. Held near the castle and the Plaza del Reloj. Good for fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables.
